Who we are
Code & bird is run by Anna, based in the United Kingdom. Anna is the "data controller" for the personal data described here, which means she decides how it is used.

What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address. That's it. We don't ask for your name, and we don't collect payment details.
Our email provider may also record whether you open our emails or click links in them. This helps us know if the emails are useful.
What we use it for
- To let you know when Code & bird opens to waitlist members
- To send occasional product updates and founding-member offers
- To reply if you email us
We'll never sell your email address or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Our legal basis
We rely on your consent, which you give when you sign up. You can withdraw it at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email or by emailing us.
Who processes your data
- Kit (kit.com) stores the waitlist and sends our emails. Kit is based in the United States, so your email address is transferred outside the UK. Kit protects these transfers with legal safeguards approved for UK data. Details are on Kit's GDPR page.
- Google Fonts serves the fonts on this site. Your browser connects to Google to load them, and that request includes your IP address. See Google's privacy policy.
Cookies
This site doesn't use any cookies for tracking or advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If we decide not to launch, we'll delete the waitlist.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you can:
- Ask for a copy of the data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or delete it
- Withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time
- Object to or ask us to limit how we use it
To do any of these, email anna@codenbird.com. We'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to fix things first, though.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll tell waitlist members by email.
